Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a primary school teacher for Karl Johansskolan and our competent faculty with a teaching qualification to teach physical education and health for grades F-3 in combination with other subjects. Teaching in physical education and health constitutes 40% of the position, while the remaining part of the job will be shaped according to the school's needs.

In your teaching assignment with us, you will systematically work to plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching. This, along with ongoing assessment of students' acquired knowledge, forms the basis for your future planning. Planning and assessment of teaching is primarily done together with your colleagues, with the main aim of ensuring that our students receive an equitable education. Therefore, you will have specific time set aside for this purpose with your colleagues. Furthermore, you will actively participate in the school's systematic development work. In this development work, we collaborate to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades F-3 in physical education and health in combination with another subject, preferably as a special educator. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs and the needs of the student group. Karl Johansskolan works with cooperative learning, and it is a great advantage if you have expertise in this area.

You have a good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills, enabling you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive study environment and an equitable learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Your teaching is modern and creative; you strive for an enjoyable and varied learning experience and aim to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. Of course, you maintain a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

You are a forward-thinking person, a good role model for your colleagues who dares to take initiative and strives forward. You have the ability to look beyond the classroom and see the overarching perspective of the entire operation. Additionally, you are flexible, self-driven, and methodical in your working style, and with your low-arousal approach, you find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal fulfillment.

Karl Johansskolan is a F-3 school, one of Malmö's oldest and smallest schools, which is part of the Linnéskolan principal area, with approximately 220 students. The school is centrally located in Limhamn. We work to ensure that all students have the right to develop according to their abilities, to acquire knowledge in a calm and safe environment, and to be treated with respect.
